Sprinkler System Repair

Leaks

You’ll obviously need sprinkler system repair if you see leaks of any kind. Be particularly aware of a pipe leak; for example, if an area of your yard is particularly muddy, there could be a leak in the pipe. If this is the case, than a technician will likely need to dig into your yard to expose the section of problem pipe, and replace that portion with a new PVC piece. The larger the muddy area, of course, the more extensive the repair will be.

Also, check to see if any of the sprinkler heads are leaking. There should be no dripping or spraying once you turn the system off. If that is occurring, then the head with the issue will need to be replaced.

Valve Problems and Blockages

If your system turns on and off but you don’t see any spray, a valve could be blocked. Turn off the water, take off the valve and clean it. If the problem persists, the valve will need to be replaced. Spray heads can also be blocked by grass or dirt. Try unscrewing the top of a clogged head to remove the obstruction. If that doesn’t work, call a professional.
